A friend and a cricketer has left us far too soon. Ramesh just turned 40 years old before he passed away on the 26th of July 2003.

Ramesh was one of the three founding members of Malmöhus Cricket Club and he contributed a lot to the club, especially in the beginning of the history of the club. Most of his games he opened the batting and he was really a hard nut to get out. With a strong defence, as a matter of fact I do not think I once saw him get bowled. With a safe pair of hands he could field in any position, he even kept wicket with style. He simply played the game very stylishly.

The two highlights of his career must have been in 1991 when he opened the batting for the Swedish national team against Denmark and he also represented a Skåne XI against the MCC in 1999. Ramesh passion and love for the game never stopped. He will always be remembered as a gentleman both on and off the field.
